How Can We Help?

Right at Home, Greater Galveston area is a locally owned and operated business providing in-home living and companion services. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do this by providing high quality caregivers to serve you.

Our caregivers are carefully screened, trained, insured, bonded and supervised to ensure we provide our clients the highest quality care and service possible.  We are also licensed by the Department of Aging and Disability Services to provide personal care.   Our goal is to help create a safe and secure atmosphere that focuses on maintaining the client's dignity and independence. This is done by providing assistance for a variety of life's daily activities including:

Right At Home Central Houston is locally owned and operated by Kristen Carlson (pictured top right). Kristen opened the Galveston RAH franchise in 2007 and purchased the Central Houston office in 2009. Prior to developing the two RAH offices, Kristen worked for over twelve years in medical management (8 years at University of Texas Medical Branch and 5 years at the Center of Reproductive Medicine). Prior to moving to Galveston, she worked as a Financial Analyst at First Boston Corp in New York City. Kristen has a bachelor's degree in Sociology and an MBA from University of Houston Clear Lake. Kristen received her accredidation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010.


Kristen, her husband Mark Greenwalt and their two children have lived in Galveston since 1993. Kristen received her accredidation as a "Certified Senior Advisor" from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2010.Mark and Kristen’s aunt, Estelle Greenwalt, was a great source of inspiration for opening the Right at Home Galveston office. Estelle, a lifelong Galveston resident, was able to live happily at home until her death at the age of 91. Being able to provide safe, exceptional service to enable others like Estelle to stay 'right at home' (wherever that home may be) as they grow older is what RAH Galveston is all about.


Staffing Coordinator, Kathryn McClure (pictured above) has been with Right at Home since January 2009. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from Austin College in Sherman, TX in 2007. Kathryn "runs the Houston office" recruiting, hiring and supervising caregivers, as well as scheduling and client coordination.
  
Welcome, Shelly Benoit! Shelly recently joined Right at Home in May 2011. Shelly will work part time doing Business Development for the Houston office and the other 'half' working in our Lake Jackson Satellite Office. Shelly has over ten years experience in the senior care industry, most recently working for Oceanview Transitional Care Center in Texas City. Shelly shares the commitment to our patients and other customers in providing the BEST in care.

A:  Caregivers as companions can assist and help seniors be more independent by assisting them with the Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and help them remain socially energetic with increased mobility and capability for access to outside events and activities.

Eldercare or Elderly Care Services?

Q:  What is eldercare and is it the same as elderly care?
